Countdown Creative Limited, CSR Policy – We are pleased to support several local, national and international charities

Introduction to Corporate Social Responsiblity

CSR refers to the way in which businesses regulate themselves in order to ensure that all their activities positively affect society as a whole. CSR policies aim to guarantee that companies work ethically, considering human rights as well as the social, economic and environmental impacts of what they do as a business. Businesses should meet any relevant legislation, and if legislation does not exist in a particular area, the company should ensure they carry out best practices anyway.

Countdown Creative Ltd is committed to ensuring that any business undertakings are conducted  ethically. We aim to help individuals, businesses and charities to grow their online following through compelling content.  We achieve this in ethical, original and authentic ways without competing with other copywriters or online agencies or plagiarism of other people’s work.

We believe there is enough work to go around for everybody especially as writing styles can be so diverse. We are committed to maintaining a good working environment for both our team and our clients in keeping with standard Government health and safety policies.

We strive for excellence in all we do and offer our clients confidentiality, privacy and we abide by all GDPR guidelines. With regard to suppliers we try and use local providers where possible to support the local economy. We would never willingly use suppliers who do not adhere to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Bribery Act 2010. We are committed to protecting the environment wherever possible.

Community Engagement

As a business, Countdown is pleased to support local and international charities by providing discounted work. This includes CTN Southwest in Exeter, Alive in the Spirit Trust in Plymouth; the Christian Broadcasting Council of the UK (CBC) and Kondanani Children’s Village in Malawi.

Our director Al Gibson is a trustee of Kondanani UK which supports the mission of Kondanani in Malawi. The Children’s Village provides homes for orphans, a school for the village and paediatric hospital for the community.  Locally, this includes the Exeter Kindness project which celebrates generosity in the city by raising funds for local charities such as the Crosslink Soup Kitchen.
