Alistair Gibson

Alistair founded Countdown Creative in 2020, and works directly with clients across the UK and beyond on their copywriting needs.
Originally from Southern Africa, he trained as a journalist and subeditor and ran a communications agency in Johannesburg for 10 years before moving to England in 2001. A career in corporate communications followed with 18 years managing media liaison, editing high circulation publications and overseeing online platforms with millions of followers.

Layla Rose
Client Liaison Manager
Layla is Countdown Creative’s Client Liaison Manager, bringing new clients on board and creating content for them.
Layla’s experience includes 18 years in senior London-based public sector positions, among them Head of Civic Services for the Mayor’s Office at Hammersmith and Fulham Council, followed by interim leadership roles at the Boroughs of Newham and Merton. Along the way she planned and delivered everything from civic ceremonies to large scale public events.

Jessica Ilott
Content Creator
Jessica is a Content Creator at Countdown Creative, supporting our clients with social media management and website updates. Born and raised in the South West, she also supports our Devon Business News and Directory project.
In addition to her work at Countdown, Jess is studying for a degree at Henley Business School, where her team finished second in an enterprise competition run with NatWest. She also holds a Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award and a Girlguiding Young Leader qualification.
